Wingate by Wyndham Waldorf/National Harbor

I had a great stay at the Wingate in Waldorf. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in. My room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. I really liked the free breakfast in the morning—it had a good variety and was fresh. The location was convenient too, close to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

It wasn’t the best in the world but it serves its purpose I was comfortable and my room was clean plus breakfast was decent and the young man with the dreads was working hard and had the place smelling nice

Opposite of the negative reviews about this hotel, this is a nice hotel to stay! Upon checking in, Mike at the front desk made it a smooth process along with great customer service! The rooms are comfortable and clean with updated bed, TV and furniture! The entire staff there are helpful and nice! I can't forget about the breakfast in the mornings that is on point! Wingate in Waldorf MD is a excellent choice and not too hard on your pockets!

I recently stayed at the Wingate and overall had a very pleasant experience. The room was extremely spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the air quality in the room was great. Check-in was quick and easy especially with pre-check-in. Just a tip: make sure your reservation card and pre-check-in card match to avoid duplicate charges. I had that issue, but the staff was quick to reverse it and I received my money back right away. The staff members were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also appreciated the convenient checkout options; you can select your checkout time, request a late checkout, or even tip staff online. That made the process very smooth. Breakfast was decent, offering a classic American spread with eggs, sausage, French toast, yogurt, oatmeal, instant grits, and more. It was a solid option for my two-day stay, though for a longer visit it may feel a bit repetitive. I really liked that the room had a smart TV, which was a highlight, though the internet connection on it wasn’t the best—it would pause or disconnect occasionally. On the plus side, it gave me and my partner more time to connect, so we didn’t mind too much. There were a few other minor hiccups: some of the towels, while clean, had light stains or hair on them, and there was a small crack in the sink that caused a leak. Thankfully, we had plenty of towels to manage it. On the positive side, I loved the Dove products provided in the bathroom, which was a nice touch. The location is convenient, with a restaurant next door and shops right across the street; perfect whether you’re driving or using ride-share. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for short trips. With just a few improvements, it would easily be a 5-star experience.

The room was not the one I paid for and it didn't have a dryer either and I didn't think the price of the room they gave me was fair
